Cognos President and CEO Rob Ashe talks about competition and product differentiation in a consolidating market. The consolidation in the BI market is causing lots of questions to large enterprises and this discussion will continue for a while as we can see from the recent eWeek article. This confusion gives many vendors an opportunity to play in the game and I also believe there is going to be work for BI consultants as organizations will try to figure out how to consolidate their BI and data warehousing architecture to become more standardized.
